This little Canadian shop is an amazing gem in a pretty needlework-starved area at the border of the Sault Ste. Maries of both Ontario and Michigan.
Decor is warm and inviting; a sofa, some chairs, and a long work table are in the front of the shop. Various types and weights of yarn are stocked throughout Shabby Motley. There are name brands mixed in with local yarns that are either spun, dyed, and/or woven in Ontario.
And did I mention the coffee? YAY!!! What better than sipping an iced latte' from a small mason jar while deciding between Amethyst Merino or a handspun Merino/Silk/Coridale - so I bought both!
I cannot figure out why the shop is listed in the Art category - there is beautiful stuff, but it includes yarn, embroidery, needle felting, weaving, needlework supplies, buttons, and did I mention the coffee and treats? -

I have bought food here about a half a dozen times over the past 5 years and EVERY single time the did not get my order right on the first time always trying to give me another persons order. I have NEVER received my food in under 30 minutes and only once was it still warm. This is because they will CONSTANTLY serve female customers first even if your food is prepared first. If they will even serve you. I have stood at the cash for 10 ten minutes before when 5 workers stood there. If you want to overpay for cold food by misandrist Uber-feminists, this is the place for you.

Wonderful place! Creative energy, yummy sweets, and great service. Thanks, Meagan! A good assortment of baked goods, well-made teas, and plentiful espresso options. And you can knit too!
